Every place has its own story

Did you already went to a special place? A place you have a great memory about? A place were you can tell stories about? Today I'm going to tell a bit more about these kind of places.

For me special places are find everywhere. It can be a place were you have a great memory about, were you did amazing things or maybe it can also be a place were there happened a sad thing. Most of the time we remember the good things but remembering sad things can also be a memory and a story. 

I have different places that mean a lot to me. For example Aminata's place. Maybe you think what's Aminata's place? Well, in 2017 I went to The Gambia (I told about it in another post already). I spent there three months. I was teaching in a school named The Swallow but I also explored the country. Every place there has it's story for me. The school is the place for me were children learn things. But in The Gambia not every child can go to school. I learned there to work with things that you have. Another place for me over there was the boat that took me to the other side of the river. One time when I was taking the boat, there was a truck stuck on the boat and I had a delay of one hour. 

Not only in The Gambia I have different stories. Also other parts of the world and even where I live have a story. The school were I'm teaching nowadays has already a lot of stories to me. My appartement has different stories. I painted my walls, doors, etc. And made my own place. But my pets who are crazy are doing these things at my appartement. 

The gym, who's now unfortanetly closed due to covid, has a special story for me. It's not a place were I went to train but it's a place were I met someone special. Since that day my life has changed. What would have happened if this day never came? 

Sometimes if you look at your stories then you're maybe wondering what happened if I wasn't at this place? Could I tell you a story about this place? The stories you tell depent also on what your life gives you. There's a quote that says: When life gives you lemons make lemonade. But what if you aren't going to do something with the lemons. Then your life can be so different then when you use the lemons. 

Another thing I'm thinking about when I'm writing this blog is that one place can have different stories. Maybe you have a story about school but when your friend tells about school he or she can have a different story to tell. It can also be that your friend and you tell the same story. 

When we talk about sad memories or stories then we can probably give them a place on earth. Sad things happen on a specific moment and at a specific place. So maybe you never want to go back to that place because you don't want to remember the sad things. Or maybe you go to this place to remember them. It's up to you what you want to do with these sad things. 

As you can see every place were you ever have been has a story. It can be a long story but also a short one. And eventually you're making a book during your life.
