Looking at the clouds
Who didn't do this as a kid? Laying on your back in the grass and looking at the clouds. You were figuring out which figures you could see in the clouds. Once your an adult you almost never do this anymore. Why? Is it just a thing for kids? I don't think so and I'm going to tell you why today.
I'm always fascinated when children say they don't have any imagination. And when they need to do something creative they can think about the craziest things. At this moment they show me they have a lot of creativity.
Looking at the clouds or even the stars and seeing figures in it is also all about imagination. Some see a bear and maybe someone else sees a dolphin. There is never a good answer. Everyone has it's own imagination. If everyone would have the same the world would be boring.
I'm not telling it is bad that we don't look at the clouds and use our imagination when we get older. But for me imagination isn't only for kids. When you're stuck with something and you don't know what to do then sometimes you need your imagination. It's the key to go to work and having the best ideas.
I also love to look at the stars. It are like little lights in the sky. When it's a cloudy evening or night I'm always a bit sad because I don't see them. Stars can also brighten your night. It's amazing that they are hunderds of years old. It's unbelievable that we see them but in real life they don't exist anymore. When you look at the stars you also use sometimes your imagination. Have you ever tried to find the constellations in the stars? I did and I can tell you it's not easy at all. Only when you draw imaginary lines you can see them.
Both looking at the stars and the clouds is for me also a form of relaxation. It makes me feel like I only think about the clouds or the stars. Everything around me is at that moment fading away. I get inner peace from looking at them. I also get a lot of energy from looking at the stars and more when I look at the clouds. Certainly when it's a sunny day outside with some clouds.
I also find clouds and stars something special. How can this all excist? How can it be that we have sometimes clouds and on other days we don't have them at all? Or that we only see clouds? Also stars are something strange. Like I said before it's something that's already dead in real life but we still see it. How does this come? I know with the lightyears but still.
So you see! It's not only a child's thing. It's also something you can do when you're grown up. From time to time, when the weather is nice, you can lay on your back and look at the clouds or maybe the stars.
